Fixed the launching issue. There was some sort of torque limit applied in first gear. Havent tried it myself yet, but someone else has and it launches properly now!

Bring on GTI International this weekend!  :driver:

That's good news Dan. Should be able to chop a fair chunk of time off that 1/4 mile time now. Terminal speed will go up a few mph too.  :happy2:
Golf R gone.

Are the issues from the 30-130 day ironed out?

There was an oil leak of some sort. There is still an oil leak of some not, maybe not the same one though.
I have a new turbo since then though!

Few updates:

Had the wheels sprayed so they are now actually silver rather than Grey, also had all the dents and dints done, there were about 15 around the car.

Amazing weekend at GTI Inters just gone!

Car was working pretty well at first, although unfortunately gained a boost leak after a couple of runs. Still got fastest SEAT on the Saturday though.

First run left the ESP on, oops  :ashamed:
Second run 13:08 2.2 60ft, but wheel hopped badly at the start.
Next two runs both 1.949 60ft but a boost leak on them :(

Sods law. Should have been an easy 12.5 at least!

Gave the car a damn good detailing at VRS Northampton on the Friday. A Polish with some Merzerna, A glaze with some Poorboys Black hole, and then a wax. Looking its best for a good few years.

Congrats on the medal and a shame about the leak.
The car really looks good, makes me want to give my own an overhaul :)

Over the top mod list ;o)

Congrats on the trophy. All the hard work seems worth it when you bag a win.

Hello, long awaited update.
Car was off the road for a while due to broken gearbox, and needed a clutch replacement, which I had done last month. Also had a bit of work to the exhaust to make it quieter.

Had a bit of a mishap with the car on Sunday though. Thankfully myself and passengers were all ok. Car looks terminal though.
Almost 9 years to the day I got it this happened: (tomorrow was its 9 year anniversary)

Its had a good innings, although was increasingly unreliable the last few years.

Thanks guys, its been an interesting journey.

May be stripping for parts soon  :happy2:

NOOOOOOOOOO!

Sorry to see this. Glad everyone got out ok. Looks pretty serious. Shame after so much work has gone into it.
