Shadow blue 3 dr colour coded pic?
« on: March 31, 2012, 06:53:56 am »

Has anyone colour coded their 3 dr with Monza 2's, and if so would you mind posting a picture?

I'm considering a gloss black theme (with gloss black side skirts, body colour front and rear bumpers, gloss black inserts on Monzas and wing mirrors) but I've just seen PND's shadow blue 5 dr and having second thoughts.

I was in a similar situation. Mine is shadow blue with body coloured ED30 bumpers but wasn't sure whether to go with black or colour coded GTI sideskirts. Take you you looked through the shadow blue thread?

I've been thinking a similar thing to you!

I've got the Monza shadows already so tinted windows and possibly colour coded with gloss splitters.

I think the only pic's you will find is PND's  :happy2:

So would you go colour coded front and rear bumpers, gloss black splitters, wing mirrors and colour coded side skirts? I  was thinking gloss black side skirts. What do you think?

I think I'd need to see a photoshop of gloss side skirts to decide

I saw a colour coded reflex silver the other day and wasnt all that impressed, it changes the shape of the bumpers a bit adding the colour so I'm a bit confused about the best way to do it. I think PND has it best with the ED30 bumper and colour coded.

That may be the way I'd go  :happy2:

Saw an ED35 with the gloss mirrors and they look great! Think would match nicely with the gloss grill and monza shadows. ETTO I suppose. . .

Me too, I'm totally with you on the shadows, mirrors, and the front splitter. It's just that I don't want to have these features and then have dark grey matt plastic on the bumpers and side skirts! I think it would look half a job. But I've seen a shadow blue colour coded all round, and I felt it changed the shape of the car, looking a bit plump, [articularly on the side, hence my black gloss idea on side skirts. Photoshop anyone?!

Cheers Paul, that really helps!

I really like it in blue. I agree it looks too much with the black on the side skirts as well.

Decision made! The Mrs preferred the blue-skirted image as well. Bonus!  :happy2:

Hi

Glad to be of assistance - glad the boss approved as well!

I do like the idea of the gloss black wing mirrors though..  and one of mine has a few scratches on it... hhmmm...

It's a nice little nod to the gloss black of the grill surround, and the gloss black in the Monza Shadows. Mine are scratched as well, which always helps in the sales pitch to the boss!
