LOL cheers for the replies guy's.

Havent really thought about this much more as just been enjoying the car!  :pomppomp:

Think I have made decision to keep it std for the moment. My speed is limited where I live in the Peak District by short straighted B-roads and road surface, soooo until I learn to get th best out of the car a revo map isnt going to get me much. Think I am probably better off spending the money on uprated brakes instead. The std stoppers seem a bit dead feeling.

But after sayng all of that Im sure that a downpipe with sport cat and Revo1 map will be on the cards for sometimenext year  :happy2:

If you live in the peak district you will run out of cornering grip and brakes faster than you will run out of power.   :signLOL:

I've just had my standard GTI done and the difference is quite remarkable. I'd say if you want more power and quicker acceleration do it. Should be really amazing on an Eddy.

Well got my girlfriend her 2nd ED30 in august. She had a dsg ED30 2 yrs ago, but I only did full turbo back miltek res, R32 brakes and a carbonio intake as I could or would not part with money for a apr fuel pump back then and a map on top.

This time round, Wow... Manual car, turbo back miltek res, itg intake, stage 2 revo map. 324bhp on standard fuel. It should be about 330-335 now it has been running on v power since. Before the map it was 253bhp with miltek and intake.

Added confidence on overtaking for her, she hardly uses much of the power but it is there when she needs it.
Also still get 300 miles to a tank, exactly the same prior to the map. Got WALK kit on it aswell, still get the banging and no real traction if we go hard in 1st and 2nd, but once in 3rd..... Gone even with 4 adults in it.

List of mods;

Full turbo back Miltek res
ITG intake
WALK kit - Plus other bushes
R32 front & rear brakes -
Engine mount bush (I think, the one that stops gear box rocking)
RNS 510
RVC Reverse camera (bought from ROBGTI off this forum)
Xenon headlight upgrade (Kufatec adapters)
Eibach Lowered Springs
Other internal mods not listed

Just bought a Ampire DTVB 400 3g - Freeview with dab etc
On look out for porsche calipers in red 4 pot????

So thumbs up to the revo remap, confidence is key when you need that power... S3 owners don't phase this ED30  :driver:

All that fun comes at a price though...you'll need a new clutch sooner.

In a word... No!  :signLOL:

You can still have loads of fun on the stock map. Just keep pushing it harder into corners until you find the limit of either your gonads of grip. I have wail of a time in mine  :driver:

Sorry can i change my answer to...

YES!

Why did you swap your maps?  Did you suffer problems?

Being DSG it was limited to 280ftlb were as Revo software did not do this. I also wanted the adjust ability via the switch... It also makes good power i do believe!

Oh I see. I just want a stage one so I shouldn't have that problem. Thanks though.
