You could sweep it well, PVA it to keep the dust down then use some heavy duty floor paint. This is what I'm going to do when I get round to it I think.

.
Mine is swept concrete but I always keep some large pieces of brown corrugated cardboard under the engine area so I can instantly spot any leaks.

I have aluminium chequer plate which was being thrown away at work due to a hole being in the wrong place.

Enough for a whole garage but expensive to buy.

....I know that stuff only too well from when I used to work with horses. Don't get the cheap versions - They don't lie flat and gather rubbish at the joins. In fact, personally I wouldn't recommend rubber stable matting in a vehicle garage at all. Sorry, VC, is that what you use?

heavy weight stuff stays flat mate, has grips so doesnt matter with spilt fluids (else horses would slip if you keep them in your garage), wipe clean, trolley jacks grip it, protects floor from dropped equipment.

theres loads of types

I keep 270 horses in my garage.

Yep, I can see the sense if you get good quality versions.

Corrected for recent Golf+ magazine readings  :booty: :signLOL:

On topic, I painted mine after PVA sealing it, but over the years it has become a little tatty, so I'm interested in this too. :happy2:

Any special kind of paint, TC? And has it stayed so pristine?

Yes! you need two pack paint if i remember correctly, and it has held up well, it could do with a quick wash, but apart from that it still looks bright.

I painted mine with some normal concrete paint after a brush out. Thou has started to come off when sat wet wheels on it. Not too bad mind.

My floor does seem to give off lots and lots at concrete dust.
Just been reading on the net about tiles and resin finishes too. Some interesting finishes out there
Not sure how to get the floor concrete dust clean enough before sealing
