powder coat

right im thinking of haveing some monza alloys powder coated. probley some sort of silver. anyone had this done?? seems to be cheaper than a normal refurb. guess they spray paint them.. any pics or comments be interested to hear your views :smiley: :smiley: :smiley: :drinking: :drinking: :drinking:

No they don't spray paint them. Hence the name powder coating.
Powder coating is more durable than a spray job although the finish will be better on a spray job. (not saying a powder coated finish will be bad at all)

Got mine back and the look mint will try get some pics up soon
TR dsg, stage 1 r-tec map, bbs ch in gloss black, black roof and badges, colour coded, neuspeed hybrid intake, cat back exhaust..

Well if you paint em you could get a custom job done so that the wheels are in two colours like Monza Shadows etc with the Black internals. If Powder Coated which would be more durable than paint, they would have to be all one colour.

I think if I were gonna have em done I'd go for a custom job (depending on cost).

I'd have the faces done in the Lightest, brightest Silver available, so that they look almost like the polished face.  :happy2:

Not a Monza fan but they do look almost factory finished. :congrats:  :happy2:

Are those painted Monte?!?  :surprised: Look ace if they are, I thought only diamond cutting could get that good/straight a line cut.

I said that if I were to get my painted I'd do em as light sliver as poss  :wink:

Have a look at redrobin's ride. He got his rims done in smoked chrome. They do look good.
