Anti-Roll \ Sway Bar changed.
« on: April 04, 2012, 11:55:29 am »
So, i noticed both my front and rear Eibach bars were set to hard. (2hole adjustable)
Some of you told me the front is usually set softer (on fwd) to combat under steer, so i had the front altered from the harder hole to the softer one.

Just to say, turn in is notability tighter, smoother and feels more balanced. Gives me a bit more confidence when turning.  :driver:

Cheers

I only have the RARB but will do both in the future and that is definitely the set-up I'd have

Yeah harder front bar will increase understeer and I found it made the ride quite 'choppy', my H&Rs are set to full soft front and full hard rear, brings the rear end into play more and results in a much livelier drive imo  :happy2:

I have mine on soft/soft, as I found the car would skip sideways on mid-corner bumps with the rear set on hard, but I think I'd like to give it another go now. Is it easy to adjust the rear one without having to pay someone to do it??

I paid a chap £30, really just because i wouldn't be bothered. But I'm pretty sure any hands-on guy could do it...

Jack-up both sides (not using suspension or arb will be in tension) , remove bolt, relocate, tighten.

I may look at getting shorter drop-links (think arb has rotated due to lowering) so ill be doing it myself next time

I may look at getting shorter drop-links

Let me know if you manage to get some that don't clunk, groan or squeak  :fighting:

I tried the BSH ones but the noise drove me mad! To be fair my oem links were barely worn even after 50K lowered miles so i just put new oem ones back on instead  :happy2:

if i replace its because the arb has rotated round due to being lowered. and thus i think knocks on something else. shorter links will rotate it back away from whatever it is.
need to get the wheel off to look.
