Black Rear trunk boot badge - Whos got 1?

is this a clip over or replacement badge?

Ebay, cost £10, you have to separate it from the backing it comes on then break off the clips on the black one. Then i just bonded it in place. Been on there over a year no with no problems at all.

hmmmm not really liking the break clips and bond part. more looking for an actual replacment mod part.

Yes mate it is the same one. The problem is , is that the clips on the black one dont line up with the backing on the original. Like i said i just cut off the clips and bonded it on even on close inspection you would not notice. By doing it this way i could just clip my original back in place if ever i needed to, which i have done when i thought i was selling the car. Remember if you spray the original i think you have to buy the whole mechanism to get the badge, but dont quote me on that. At least this way its only a tenner

you can buy these separately from the dealer...depending on the year of your car.  i just bought one recently, £20...look for my thread about "boot handle".

Been looking at doing my rear badge too as i already have a black front badge i got from eurowagens, has anybody bought one of these black rear badges from them too? http://www.eurowagens.com/en/vw/golf-5-jetta-5/black-grille-badge-vw-golf-mk6-2.html

This is obviously just the badge and so need to remove the old one from the car but do i really need to break clips to remove it or is there an easier less destructive method?

The clips are really brittle anyway and sort of just fold off giving a nice clean edge. If you dont wanna go down that route or have it painted then just get it wrapped.

Cheers Gaz think i'll give it a go as the front one i got from them was spot on and its not expensive if i mess it up
