How to deal with the hosepipe ban?
« on: April 06, 2012, 06:42:34 pm »
As above. Whats the best way to remove debris/dust/grim before attacking it with a wash mitt?

Im thinking something like this... with a heavy shampoo/warm water mix.

I though it would be good to start a new thread just to keep ideas/advice and thoughts all together.  :happy2:

I got these but they are now sold out. I fill both to rinse car then fill again to rinse after 2BM. Use open watering can to sheet water. Not as powerful as a PW but still pretty good.

I would give up all thoughts of washing the car........

.... And use a different kind of hosepipe.

I have one of those pressurised prayers for cleaning the car in the flat car park, you will want something at 7.5 litres and up or you will be back and forth to the tap 4 or 5 times to get it properly rinsed.

5Dr Black GTI, DSG, Leather, Xenons. Retrofitted - Cruise, RNS 510, MFSW, Armrest, Skoda BT, 6cd changer, Monza II's, VW speaker upgrade kit, Lux pack, High-line, new CAN gateway, Polar FIS info display, R32 tinted rear lights, RVC

To Come...NQSBBK, highline CCM.

I washed mine today using a 25litre container full of rain water from my waterbutt using my Jetwash with a small piece of hosepipe attached and in the container, worked a treat :happy2:
