I got these but they are now sold out. I fill both to rinse car then fill again to rinse after 2BM. Use open watering can to sheet water. Not as powerful as a PW but still pretty good.

Plenty of similar things available on eBay for instance...

I'm OK though as I live 'up North'.  :happy2:

As above. Whats the best way to remove debris/dust/grim before attacking it with a wash mitt?

Im thinking something like this... with a heavy shampoo/warm water mix.

I though it would be good to start a new thread just to keep ideas/advice and thoughts all together.  :happy2:

Rich

I used one of them today to wash my car took forever and had to keep refilling up every panel. but it did the job in the end.

....A very sensible and civilised arrangement. I used to know someone who lived in the same street as the Kray Twins - notorious criminals in the East End of London - and the arrangement was the same. But if you grassed up The Krays you'd doubtless meet a very nasty death!

As much as i like the "lets no grass on each other" plan, thats a bit risky... a 1000 pound fine isn't something I'm prepared to mess with!

I washed mine today using a 25litre container full of rain water from my waterbutt using my Jetwash with a small piece of hosepipe attached and in the container, worked a treat :happy2:

Correct,  Water Butt (or even 2 of linked) Karcher Suction hose (or equivalent item)  :happy2:

How will you fill the butt? Does it fit under your kitchen tap??

Very good question!

Er, from a length of circular hose attached to the tap at one end and flowing into the butt at the other end... Oh hang on! That's a hosepipe!

I guess I'm one of the lucky one's. Parts of Hampshire are affected , but as I live in Southampton the water ban dosn't affect me as there is no ban here.
So it was out with the presure washer and on with the snow foam this morning  :happy2:

From a downpipe (gutter) with a connector kit pipe.

I very nearly bought a water butt and filled it from the tap before all the nonsense started. :chicken:

....I have one of those (similar) for collecting rainwater for the garden but there's no way I'd use that water to wash the car after it has been stagnating in the butt. We don't have a hosepipe ban down in my neck of the woods.

RR,  I've used water out of them regularly, you should find the water is fine, not like a garden pond at all.  There is a filter available for the suction hose anyhow
