I bought one of these:

http://www.homebase.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?langId=110&storeId=10151&partNumber=210125

Did a good job of getting the car wet initially, and had just enough power to get some of the dirt off around wheel areas, but it's not a workable option to rinse the suds off. I tried, but by the time I'd done a panel, the sudes were drying.

I had to resort to throwing buckets of water over half the car and then getting the water magnets on it quickly. I reckon I probably used more water than if i'd been allowed to use a hosepipe  :stupid:

Most pressure washers will work by suction, I believe, so just buy the appropriate intake hose and stick it in a bucket . Job done.

Oldschool, but a bucket got the suds off quickly, in fact, it was probably quicker than a hose!

So u would get away with it by using the bucket method

Yep, there's no bucket ban! But saying that, I wouldn't be surprised if the pesky meddlers did that next!

Like my original post but I use a 25litre drum. I just use a piece of hose cut to length so it fits in my drum/bucket and connect the other end to my Karcher jetwash. It works a treat!

Not if you squirt Fairy Liquid on it from an upstairs window and let the rain do the rest...

Non-stop rain and wind here in coastal southwest Dawsett too. But mine is in her batcave with guards on the door:

I only wash mine when she gets dirty enough for me to see a difference - Otherwise it feels like spending 2 hours for very little result. I sometimes clean only the wheels.

....I have a whole collection of spider pics if you are interested  I don't want to handle them but they are beautiful looking creatures.

They are an important creature within the animal/insect world. It's all about balance. Fear of Spiders is equivalent to fear of Wolves - Essential to keep Deer/Elk populations under control etc which without predation can adversely effect a wildlife environment. Bring back the Wolf! And the Bear! This applies more to the grand old U S of A.

Hosepipes > Spiders > Wolves etc is quite an off-topic, even for me!

Hosepipe Babe pic to bring it back towards topic?.....................  :popcornsoda:
