As alot of you know myself and my family went through a serious house fire a few years ago, this weekend marks its anniversary. Not going to go into details about the fire so dont ask 

..but please, go test your smoke alarms - whens the last time you did it eh?

if you dont have them fitted, get them fitted.

Put one in your loft, above your bed too.

I test ours every couple of weeks (should i say the OH does when she burns toast ) anyway glad your still hear to tell us to check them mate

I find it absolutely abhorrent how lackadaisical people are about fire safety. I've no direct experience to go off but I've seen enough in the media to scare me.

Ours get checked regularly and we have escape routes planned out etc.
