Best spark plug for stage1
« on: April 08, 2012, 10:35:45 pm »
Cars due a service and am just searching round for some plugs. The car has a stage1 map and iv heard that maybe I should go for a "colder" spark.

Can anyone suggest any? Possible link?

You don't need those for stage 1. OEM plugs or NGK platinum or iridium are perfectly fine. :-)

.... x 2

Also as recommended by every single reputable tuner and workshop that I have spoken to. You don't even need a colder plug for Stage 2, but it's recommended for Stage 2+ and upwards.

VW upgraded/updated their OEM plugs over a year ago.

What is recommended is to change plugs on a remapped 2.0T FSI every 20k miles.
