More flow in and out and very cool charge temps needed to make high power safe.   I read some where APR and Revo managed 400bhp+ with race fuel only?

The WMI certainly helped me to set the timing strong enough to crack 395bhp if it was not for the WMI I would have not gone over 365-370bhp.  Its making this power and still boosting in range of the stock 2.5bar map sensor around 1.45bar across the board with around 200mb on the spool over shoot.  I have full control of the N75/boost now open loop which means I can control the boost safe when out of map sensor range.  James is due back in soon once his diff and clutch have been fitted to pretty much max the turbo at at the top end.   What I have found the K04 on the BWA make better peak power and air flow is the peak boost/torque is kept low.

For some reason I find it easier to tune the GTi with k04 conversions over the ED30s??  They seem to make power at the top end much easier?  hardware or software I dont know?

I also read somewhere people are boosting the k04 beyond 30psi??

reliably on long term basis!

This is unknown..... All I can say is James hammers hell out of the car and its done over 1000 miles on my dyno flat out... :driver:

We will find out how long it lasts when James posts the topic up "new engine/turbo need"

From what I've heard the AXX & BWA with a K04 bolted on will make more than an ED30 / S3 with the same mods - apparently due to the higher compression ratios over the S3 / ED30.  :surprised:

impossible due to the conrods in the AXX/BWA, and the tuners will lower the torque due to this  :happy2:

Over the top mod list ;o)

Compared on the same dyno it seems the BWA vs the ED 30 engine with KO4 make similiar peak BHP but the BWA holds it for longer.

mine is a BWA,  i am still bashing the feck out of it :driver:  it lives in the red line,  still not missed a beat .

i will change the oil 3/5k,  and check the oil every morning.  i think if was going to go bang it would of done it by now. :drinking:

..tell a lie it did miss a beat once,  that was 100% meth and made it clip the map sensor.
