They just pull off. I used a trim removal tool (but any sturdy piece plastic will do) in-between mirror case and repeater to start to lift it and can easily be lifted up around mirror case nearest to the car as this part is not attached underneath, bit of wiggling around thin part of mirror case at bottom around mirror and she should be "lose". Will come off with some gentle pressure upwards and away from car.

Very useful if you need to remove anything in the car. I used for removing trim around stereo and side air vent removal as well as the mirrors, very useful. Just type in "trim tool" and you should find some.
it is worth trying to put a piece of felt or foam on the new ones to match the OEM ones as my wing mirrors now whistle as certain speeds!!
