S3/Cupra diverter relocation

I know that this is done when doing the k04 conversion or on a K03s if you want to go to the cooler side if am right? But as it is located to the front what kind of difference does this make to performance and also will the diverter made different sounds as its connected to the intake directly?

I've just done the K04 conversion which I installed myself. The Dv does make a nice sound on part throttle let off, hard to explain but kinda like a poooooow noise. I'm on stock intake and stage 3 map.

How does it compare to your k03?

The Cupra diverter hose is shorter than the S3 one. You need the S3 one for your original GTI engine cover

How does it compare to your k03?

A little more lag but it pulls really well. You know on the k03 when you get the initial pull but it tapers off, it's like that but with no taper and more wheel spin. Very enjoyable!

Did you get the custom wiring harness or just pull it through to the front? Did the relocation make any difference to the sound as to how the turbo spools up?
And lastly how is your fuel consumption with the conversion and who did you get it mapped by?

No DV relocation didn't make any difference to spool up sound. You can't pull the wires to the new location, it simply won't reach. I made my own harness

I'm not sure on fuel consumption as I haven't had it on long enough but I've done 210 miles on the first half a tank with lots of logging and my trip reads 41mpg regularly. Make of that what you will.

I got mine mapped by DNA tuning in Alcester.

What did you use to make the harness? Is it parts direct from VW? Please give me part numbers if so.
And i was going to say that consumption is pretty impressive from that much power but that must be due to the k04 spool rate being later then k03s? Are you returning with better miles since the conversion?
Also are your trips motorway or town driving and also what speeed?

Parts from Audi not sure on VW
2x 000 979 134 A- wire
2x 000 979 133 A- wire
1x 1J0 973 722 A- connector
1x 1J0 973 822 A- connector

Take the pink and orange inners out of the connectors, plug in the wires and solder in the middle. You should end up with a 4ft length which I wrapped in heat shrink tubing.

That mpg is with a mixture of A and B road driving but start hoofing it round and it'll guzzle. Obviously the trip computer will be out with the injectors but we'll see.

Ohh right lol well that certainly cant be the case if hes getting 40MPG from a tuned K04! And also even if someone did advertise their speed they certainly can not get done for it without proof?
