Was a bit tired to post last night (mrs giving me grief about bringing the laptop to bed)  :fighting2:

So looking forward to Sunday.

The car was very tight and the chap only lived about 2 miles from the dealership, passed it on my way to his house.

The interior is superb, doesn't show the mileage at all - from what he'd said I expected bad bolster wear on the drivers seat but not at all.

It felt significantly quicker than the standard Gti but he says it's definitely standard in the engine department, must be a beast once mapped

What kind of power do these things rolling road at standard?, are VW being conservative stating 230Bhp

It's such a nice car and it feels very special to drive, a step up again :driver:
Octavia Vrs MKII - KO4, forge twintercooler, S3 Injectors, APR HPFP, RS4 FP Valve, Pipeworx 3'' DP and Sports cat, Piper non res exhuast, ITG Maxogen, Quaife Dif, sachs clutch kit, NQSBBBK with RS4-2 pads, H&R SS Coilovers with adjustable koni inserts.
Good for 328 BHP on JKM's rollers !!

On an accurate Rolling road  :fighting:  (), expect what the manufacture states 227+/- 10%. Mine, apart from one instance, got at best 236bhp.There is a big difference in mid range grunt between GTi and ed30.Biggest difference is at high rpm that the power doesnt tend to die away like the smaller k03 GTi tended to.

Must be the mid/high end torque output then. What sort of torque output mapped then, 300+ Lbft?

On a accurate consistently repeatable Rolling road  at JKM expect what the manufacture states 227+/- 10%. Mine, apart from one instance, got at best 236bhp.There is a big difference in mid range grunt between GTi and ed30.Biggest difference is at high rpm that the power doesnt tend to die away like the smaller k03 GTi tended to.

most rolling roads show ED30 at around 245@flywheel. best to compare with cars on the same day/same dyno  :happy2:
Expect a few more horses with higher octane fuel (99 RON)

remapped, expect a huge difference....

Just done a bit of research on the av kit installed in the car and the TV system is the one here with twin receivers and twin high gain flat glass ariels

The Head unit is this one which seems to get mixed reviews, but is pretty good and stable after loading the latest firmwear.

So I'm pretty chuffed with that little lot, the picture and sound off freeview was excellent!

I wish, not collecting till Sunday ..... My Gti goes tomorrow and although it's one of the best cars I've owned it also now holds the record for shortest period of time I've owned a car.

..........the pull of the ED30 was just TOO strong.

if you don't mind me asking, how are you exchanging £. or you going armed with notes, bankers draft, online payment before etc.?
