damaged diverter valve?
« on: April 13, 2012, 08:10:00 pm »
hi, ive recently been having a few issues with blue smoke interminently when in 6th gear under load, it turns out that oil is leaking from the cam cover down on to the forge spacer and into the inlet circuit, i have now removed the spacer, but as expected there has been a lot of oil passing through the diverter valve, i was also told this spacer would work with a revised diverter valve even though its a tight fit, and was told to just tighten it up anyway, this actaully breaks the circular plastic internal mould. I am not getting full boost on the car as it is, but am still to clear the inlet of all oil, just wondering if this has likely knackered the diverter valve with the oil consumption and inner casing breaking? cheers

Perhaps some pics might help to show the damage you are on about.  I wouldnt bother with the forge spacer as plenty of peeps on here had them fitted and they leaked boost.
