CV Boot cost?
« on: April 17, 2012, 11:47:10 am »
Hi guys recently had the car serviced and wanted to know how much you think a cv boot repair would cost. Awesome GTI quoted me £180. They said both ends had split?  :surprised:

If its the boot I would get the cv joint changed as well as you don't know what damage could of been done. Plus it's about the same amount of labour to change as the boot as the driveshaft still needs to be disconnected.
I bought my cv joints with boot kit seperately and then paid 1.5 hours labour for someone to fit for me

Ring White Rose VW, speak to Ben Smith on service, has always looked after me and likes a good GTI. He has no problems with anything modded, but let them no its mapped to stop them updating and wiping it.  :happy2:

I think I paid about £130 from Midland VW to have a new CV joint fitted last month.
