Jesus, you put normal petrol in your car?! Are you mad, I'm surprised you even made it off the forecourt!
In reply to my learned friends, I've just come back from the States, a bit jet lagged and having missed most of the queuing at petrol stations in my area of South London only to find no V Power at the Shell. And yes, my mistake - V Power rather than V Max. (silly me) you know what I meant however. The supposed extra clean burn of the better fuels are preferable surely; I know certain people rate the supermarket fuels due to turnover and regular replenishment of their tanks v the little less used petrol stations stock. Not everyone reads the forum every day nor uses the search function before posting a question. No need for the spiky comments chaps - we're all on the same team. Cheers PR
I always ran my gti on 95ron, don't fancy paying more but I read on here how great v power is and u get more mpg and better performance so for 2 weeks I tried it and all I can say is didn't notice more power only difference is how much quicker the fuel gauge goes down! It really did drink more and my girlfriend did the same in the cooper s and she said it used more, not used it since con if u ask me, petrol is petrol similar to bottled water I suppose why pay more for something that does the same job"my opinion"
