Saturday's recently seem to be Edition 30 days at the garage where dreams come true, After detailing Steve's car and Simon's car, today was Alex's turn to treat his lovely Edition 30 to a full enhancement detail.
So on with the job in hand...
Pressure washed the car.
Snow foamed
rinsed etc etc.
Then all stop as the rain came down, so it was into the garage to fettle the bonnet and detail the engine bay. The Mrs was now back from doing the weekly shopping and duly knocked up some excellent bacon rolls and cups of tea. After a few hours the rain went somewhere else at which time Simon, Steve, Mandy and Romany popped round. This might have had something to do with the Mrs baking the mandatory Detailing Saturday sausage rolls..!!! Great to see you all and great to see so many lovely cars in the road.
Maybe we should aim to have a turn out something like this one day....
So it was then out with the G220 v2 to rectify some small defects and restore some gloss to the paintwork with Meguiar's Ultimate compound. The paintwork was then treated to some Meguiar's Ultimate polish and then topped off with some Poorboy's Natty's Blue wax and a final coat of Gtechniq C3 Smart Carnauba.
What's special about Gtechniq C3 Smart Carnauba?
As used on the most expensive car ever to sell at auction. In a nutshell C3 offers the look, feel and durability of high end carnauba paste wax in a relatively inexpensive quick detailing type spray. Customers who have switched from using a well known brand of concourse winning paste wax have remarked how their cars not only looked wetter and shinier but stayed cleaner for longer.
But that C3 offers a great shine with little effort on your car's paintwork is selling it short as Gtechniq C3 smart Carnauba can be used on many other surfaces including your car's dash and door cards plus brushed stainless where it prevents staining from finger prints, as well as on chrome and vinyl to name a few.
Furthermore C3 is also very effective at removing bug splatter and general surface cleansing. The Swiss army knife of detailing products
The windscreen was treated to some Gtechniq G1 ClearVision Smart Glass which lasts for up to two years / 30,000 miles making wet weather driving both safer and less tiring. Also keeps windshields cleaner for longer and makes bugs and ice easy to clean off.
No smears and wiper blade proof.
What's special about Gtechniq G1 ClearVision Smart Glass?
Unlike regular rain repellent coatings that adhere to the surface of the glass using relatively weak physical bonds, G1 uses a chemical bond which gives G1 unrivalled durability. Gtechniq G1's excellent durability and exceptionally low smear characteristics make it ideal for car windscreens.
The exterior plastics were treated with Wolfs Chemical - Trim Coat. Like many other trim dressings on the market, Wolf's Trim Coat WM 1NT dressing brings faded trim back to life, but also adds something to trim that most other dessings on the market don't: nano protection. This is a unique dressing has been combined with nano technology to provide unparalelled durability, shine and beads water like no other.
Many Thanks to my Mrs for the bacon rolls, sausage rolls and the numerous cups of tea / coffee..
So finally some finished pictures. (Alex has numerous before and during pictures which I hope he will add to the post)
Thanks for looking...... Enjoy the rest of the weekend.
