Edition 30 Stage 1 & ITG Maxogen Intake?
« on: April 16, 2012, 11:59:14 am »
Hi all,

I'm getting close to booking my Edition 30 in for it's stage 1 remap. I've been thinking about getting the ITG induction kit at the same time to compliment it. Has anyone fitted this with a stage 1 remap? If so what gains were shown? I've heard good reviews on the kit, especially gains wise but based on Stage 2 and Stage 2+ maps.

Also is it safe to fit the kit on the standard engine, I read something that said it could cause the engine to run lean?

Lastly, is there much difference seen MPG wise?

Thanks  :happy2:

few bhp+ just helps to let the turbo breath in a open filter then a restricted enclosed box.

I had it installed on stage1 remap however i wont quote the figures as it came from AMD unrealistc rollers.

Install it, it wont be a problem, and no it wont make the engine lean. MPG will be affected due to the remap+itg.

I had it on mine too - MPG was down because the noise was addictive at first  :happy2:

It deffo makes a difference, and sounds like Darth Vaders under your bonnet
But if I was you I'd put the money towards a nice exhaust system to compliment the stage 1 map before investing in a CAI.
Just my pennies worth  :happy2:

Personally i would look to do all of the mods power wise and remap last as each different mod will alter the way in which the map will work and saves on additional remap costs - if you get charged for them.

Think of the ITG and Exhaust as a money saver - you get a better product that will last longer and in some cases of the exhausts a lifetime g'tee so never have to worry about shelling your own money out again :happy2:
