Interior LEDs on slightly with doors closed?
« on: April 16, 2012, 08:45:01 pm »
Ok,

I have replaced 5 LED's the 2 centre console lights, I had replaced the footwells but found out they're obviously CANBUS ones as having both as leds causes problem...

When locked the LEDs turn off completely... unlock or open doors and they light up completely, but if i have the ignition on, they are lit up ever so lightly, so obviously getting some current through?

Anyone else experienced this? Any ideas what is causing it?

Yes, mine does this as well. Like you say when locked they go off completely so don’t cause any flat battery problems. Don’t even notice it when driving at night as they are not bright enough.   :happy2:

mine does this too, iirc its due to leds needing very low current to work so they light up the small amount your seeing.  that small current has always been there but normal bulbs dont show it  :happy2:
