New grill badge, opinions?
« on: April 16, 2012, 03:24:05 pm »
Got of the bay quite cheap but wasn't until i went back to the advert after it arrived it indicated it didn't fit GTi's =/

Despite this it did go on but yes it's not a perfect fit, i'll see how it goes but it was simple to change so easy done.

On a second thought from the pics i can really see the my grill is in need of some major color restoration, any idea what is good for black plastic like that, or i'm wondering if a new one might be easier than trying to get into all those damn hexagon things.

People use all sorts of stuff to bring back the Blackness to the grill. Tis much easier to work on if you remove the grill first. Only 4 Torx screws and the puppy is off.
Try Aerospace 303 on Meg's Trim Detailer or even Back to Black ,bit of work and it's all nice and shiney again. Or buy a new plateless grill and job done, nice and clean looking!
