Wheel buckle

I've just had two new tyres on the rear, and the offside wheel has a buckle. The guy said it balanced out reasonably well, but I will experience uneven tyre wear if I don't get it sorted. However, the Vredestein Satanta that came off it looked pretty even.

Can these be straightened, or am I looking at a new wheel? If they can, Can anyone recommend anywhere in the Guildford area?

 Can I ask what sort of condition is it in? I've got a spare already, but it's really badly kerbed and I can't stand having it on the car!

It's one of the back ones anyway Ben. Should I just forget about it and keep an eye on the tyre wear?

They can be straightend but if its balanced up and on The back and you can't feel a wobble at .60 then it will be fine

Straightening an alloy is technically a bad idea - it'll "weaken" the metal, and might result in catastrophic failure next time, rather than just bending.

I assembled a set of Pescara's from various sources and one of them had a wobble. It was able to be balanced out and I ran it for many 1000's of miles.

If it can be balanced then don't worry.  :wink:

But the Monza 2's have hollow technology to lighten them so I wouldn't think trying to straighten it would be a good idea.
