Goodyear F1's. Had a set fitted about a month ago and IMO they are very good. Camskill online, about £540 delivered for 225 40 R18 Y92, get your local fitter to do the rest.

Yep been looking on love tyres beat prices but I have a friend who will get me them little dearer but I would rather his company get the money.

I was swaying towards conti's being European an all but every one hear seems made up with Goodyear. Conti just got voted best Goodyear came 3rd in a recent test yet last year Goodyear hammered the rest.

All seems very up and down with magazines tests and online verdicts good to here real world thoughts.

Conti's are ment to be the quietest lol.

Just bought a pair of Goodyear Eagle F1 assy 2s for the front of mine, only 17s but at £233 all in fitted via blackcircles I'm not complaining.  One done 100 miles so far and most of that in the wet and they have been grippy from the off, so get my thumbs up so far. Also haven't thought about the road noise so must be good :happy2:

Just had 2 GY E F1s fitted today to replace the budgets that were on my wheels when I bought them & there is a massive reduction in noise!

Is it normal for new tyres to lose presseure, settling in and wot not? Had four PZeros fitted at the weekend and noticed when i came home this morning they looked a little deflated. Check the tyre pressure's and sure enough they had all dropped from 2.6bar to 2.3bar. I noticed this on my way home from the fitters on sat afternoon and had to pump up the tyres. Never had this issue before. I also noticed the PZero's dont offer much in the way of rim protection on the wheel, the tyre wall sits flush with the wheel, where the conti sp3's before stretched over the wheel rim nice and snug.

Some tyres have a wider profile than others even in the same size which is what I was also looking at as don't want the wheels to rub as there8.5j.

So it's normal depending on make, tyres going down I would say its not beaded on properly you could try pumping them up to 40 psi see if it seats better then let back down.

Goodyears available here https://lovetyres.com/basket

If going for the Contis make sure you don't get the Mercedes Only versions. These have MO on the sidewalls.

I understand that 'MO' stands for Mercedes Option not Mercedes Only.  The only difference with the MO tyre is that it has more rim protection on the sidewall - as specified by Mercedes Benz.  This is a good thing......
