Clonking noise from rear of car
« on: April 19, 2012, 01:52:02 am »
I'm getting a clonking noise from the rear of my car, only happens when I'm going into my drive which is onto a curb and quite un-even surface. Occasionally happens when driving over speed bumps. Initially thought it was a broken spring but had a good look under the car and they are fine. Everything else seems fine too and nothing was advised on my last mot. any ideas what it could be?

I'd be having a look at the rear arb bushes or rear drop links for any signs of wear mate  :happy2:

Cars going in for upper mount bearings Tom so will get him to have a look over those two as well. Is it 2/3 bolts to remove the bushes or links?

RE the upper mounts. Should I have the mounts and bearings replaced or just the bearings? Have spoke to my mechanic and he says upper bearings is all it needs :stupid:
