Why do you need to buy the new pump, you can just add the new internals.  :happy2:

If you're gonna do that you might as well spend £150 extra and get an APR

Because the internals will wear to the new pump seal instead of making a poor fitment from the O.E piston.
There is a new pump for sale on Briskoda £55 inc del.

Does your quest for a HPFP mean that you are running a Mk5 nowadays, Dan? And should I be watching out for you in my rear view mirror?  :scared:

Nice one! I note your use of the word "yet"! Doubtless I'll see it when I visit you @ vanworx  :happy2:

Autotech route is cheaper, but.......    (I went APR).

Cool.

Not had any experience of either. But can't see why a brand new pump and autotrch parts would be much different to apr

....Well, are you sitting comfortably?

Those folks who have bought the Autotech version will tell you that it's much better value for money and works fine and those who bought the APR version will tell you that it's safer and gives greater peace of mind.

There are lots of threads and discussions on the subject on this forum if you do a Search.

My biass is to the APR and so do JKM who have long experience of both.

I must admit that sticking new Autotech internals into a new OEM pump must be better than fitting into a used pump, at least in theory.
