Just requested my f.o.c Infinity upgrade to the new max speed of 76mb down and 20mb up.  :happy2:  Should all be sorted in about 3 days, I'll confirm what speeds i get once it's all done. :happy2:

Linky below for those on BT Infinity Option 2 (Unlimited downloads), additional charge for those on the 40GB limit package.  Takes about 1 minute to request the upgrade, does a line check and gives you a new speed estimate.

No worries, caught one of their adverts last night and thought it best to check, they aren't exactly shouting about the free upgrade.
Forecasting 61 down and 20 up for me.

Got to be happy with that. :happy2:  Seems like competition in the Broadband market is finally getting going with the benefits for the consumer

Still umming and ahhing about doing this. The phone socket near the pooter isn't the master socket and is behind some cupboards, too, so a right PITA to get at.

IIRC  The Openreach engineer can move the master socket for you if required when they come to do the installation.  The alternative would be to buy a pair of these http://www.broadbandbuyer.co.uk/Shop/ShopSearch.asp?CategoryID=433 then you can push the connection anywhere in the house.

Just moved to high speed broadband in my area, before I was getting 1.1meg max download and 0.4meg upload  and getting thrown off the net every 20-30mins! :fighting:

Now I'm getting 43meg download and 13meg upload :jumpmove: and they are doubling this at the end of this month!

It was like moving out of the dark ages! :signLOL:
Golf R gone.

Here's me thinking my 8M down 1M up being inadequate  :surprised:
Apparently getting my exchange activated by the end of June. Not sure who to go with as BT are expensive and I'm happy with O2 but they aren't making any signs of signing up for it.

Then again, makes a nice change from my 14.4K modem on the old Apple Mac Performa. It shows how lucky yet dependant we've become very quickly
Used to have Edition 30 - number 009 and a GT TDI 140.
Now have an S4 B8 Avant (stage 2)
