Detail My Ride - TVR Cerbera - Zaino Enhancement

Greeners:
Hi Chaps,

The owner of this 1999, 4.5L V8 TVR Cerbera, finished in Metallic Black had recently discovered detailing on an internet search, and was keen for it to be detailed following its recent purchase earlier this year. The car has been resprayed so generally was in good condition, however it was evident the paintwork was in need of some TLC!

It was agreed that a full Zaino detail would be carried out, to try and get the best finish from the stunning metallic black paint finish.

Now some of you know how I do have a soft spot for a good old fashioned raspy exhaust note, and I must say this this was pure evil and a real brute!!

The car was treated too:

- Wheels cleaned using AS Smart Wheels, vikan/lambswool brushes
- Tyres/arches cleaned using AS G101, vikan brushes
- Citrus pre-wash via foam lance, to remove loose debris/dirt, high pressure rinse
- Bodywork, door shuts etc washed using Dodo Juice Born to be Mild, 2BM and lambswool mitts
- Bodywork/wheels decontaminated using Iron X/Tardis, followed by clay with Auto Finesse grey
- Paintwork enhanced using Dodo Juice Lime Prime prior by DA (3M yellow pad)
- Zaino Z6 wipedown
- Paintwork sealed using Zaino Z5/ZFX
- Wheels lightly polished by hand, sealed using Zaino CS
- Tyres, plastics and rubbers dressed with Car Pro Perl, glass cleaned, exhaust/chrome polished
- Light interior detail, include mats/carpets clean, fabrics, plastics etc, glass cleaned. Leather treated with Z9/Z10
- Zaino Z8 Wipedown

The car looked a little like this on arrival:

On with the detail...

Iron X picked up a fair amount of contamination on the wheels, however the paintwork was near perfect following a respray fairly recently in its life!

A few shots showing the difference made by enhancing the paintwork via DA, not looking for full correction here, just an improvement which was certainly made!

Z5 mixed up with ZFX

Applied thinly, and allowed to cure

Finished Results!

Thanks for looking! Comments, questions etc welcome!

Lovely job mate! It's like a detailing frenzy on here these days!

How did you find the paint? I did a mobile detail on one about 3 years ago and it was literally like butter!  :scared:

Wow. Gorgeous. Pity owner didn't go for a full on correction.

To be honest it was really good to work with. Really pleased with the results for an enhancement, and the owner was blown away!

Thanks Jaz.  :happy2:

It was around 80% corrected which isn't bad for the time spent!
