Backing plate??
« on: April 24, 2012, 07:58:29 am »
If i'm using a 150mm pad on my rotary should i be using a smaller backing plate to allow the pad to be a bit bigger?

Or, do i just go for a 150mm backing plate too?

Anyone advise on the best backing plates out there?

Thanks for any advice.

With 150mm pads people generally use 125mm backing plates. as far as which one really depends on whether you have a rotary or dual action as each one has a different fitment.  Rotarys are M14 if I remember correctly.

Dodo 3m Flex and Festool all make great backing plates.

I'm sure the pros will advise shortly  :happy2:
