Mark's mk5 GTI
« on: May 14, 2009, 06:39:26 pm »
Thought I'd take a few pictures today. Hopefully by Monday the new wheels will be on... updated my profile in anticipation :D

Anyhoo here it is :

I suppose I better mention what's on the car:

MFD2 DVD Navigation + iPod connectivity
Bi-Xenons
Highline computer
Cruise Control
Multifunction steering wheel
VW Alarm
18" Monzas (or as they are known here Detroits).

JewelUltra DiamondBrite paint treatment.

Aftermarket
Superchips Bluefin - Stage 2
Eibach Pro Kit springs on VW Sachs dampers
Milltek Downpipe and Sports Cat
Milltek Resonated exhaust
Carbonio Cold Air Intake
ITG panel filter
Stoptech Big Brake Kit (front): 4 Piston ST40 ALU calipers on 2 Piece floating AeroRotor disks with ALU hat in 328x28 size. Braided hoses and Axxis ULT Kevlar Ceramic pads.
Standard Rear caliper on standard disks with Axxis ULT Kevlar Ceramic pads and Braided hoses.

as to tyres ... currently run Michelin Pilot Sport 2 all round in standard size of 225x40zr18 extra load.

On Monday.. (hopefully).. my new wheels will be ready, so the Omni Competition spacers will be removed and the following added:

Is it wrong I think it looks better with a yellow plate than a white one we have in the UK?

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Looking great but your steering wheel is on the wrong side

Those calipers look good behind the monza, can't wait to see your new alloys!

Interesting goodies for me in boxes

Old wheels coming off

Gratuitous brake shot

Changed the colour of the emblem.. now it looks just like my old Mk2 GTI big bumper did (which was also black with BBS wheels)

This forum is a bad influence.
