Do 19 wheels go straight on ?

Hi guys as the title suggests I am looking at replacing my 17 monza's... maybe with some 18" pescaras... Then thought maybe go to some 19s do you have to have a specific ET and tyre size if you go to 19s. The car is a standard 58 GTI.      Thanks for any advice.

Best size for 19" wheels is 19x8J ET45 with 225/35/R19 tyres

I recently changed from the 17in monza`s to 19x8.5 et 30 with 215/35/19 tyres, they do poke a little but once lowered they sit perfect

mine are 19"x8 et 44 on 225/35/19 tyres

@ Monte and Maxitrol, imho both of your wheels look rubbish but if you want to some decent ones, I will happily take yours off you and drop them up my local tip?!

i agree, i can help also, not easy getting 8 wheels in one car.
