Mk5 Golf Engine Conversion Problems. Need Help!
« on: April 28, 2012, 11:55:46 am »
Ok so i have a mk5 golf, 1.4tsi we have put a 2.0tfsi from a us jetta in it, everythings fitted and it turns on, ecu clocks and keys are being used aswell, we now have a problem of that, my brake lights are constantly on, and i have no revs? you put the accelarator down it does nothing, but yet the engine is running, a few people have said the pedal has to be coded to the throttle body or the ecu? anybody know any help?
also new cars when you try to drive down the road, if you put your foot on the brake so the lights come on and try to accelarate it will not rev so we are also thinking it could be to do with my lights stuck on??

HELP!

Have you done Basic setting adaptation for both throttle body and Intake Manifold Runner using vcds?

vcds wont allow us to code anything? we have tried that but will not let us into things like that?

ok so it seems like the accelerator pedal needs to be adapted and coded to the throttle body through the ecu, now our vag-com for some reason can not get into it and do it, is there any other way of doing it other than going direct to vw??

Are you using a genuine ross tech hex or micro can cable with the latest version of vcds.
Earlier version cables won't do with the canbus of the mk5.

Since I may be out of my depth here I would try seeing if kalu can give you any advice by sending him a PM.

ok so... we are very stuck now! the engine runs, still no accelerator, and brake lights constantly on, vagcom will not allow us to code anything on there, we cannt not get into anything to do with the accelerator pedal either? not even in the measuring blocks??

HELP!!
