eBay sat nav head units

Does anyone here have a sat nav unit from eBay?
There is a few different types so not sure what one to go for, any reccomendations?

I have a highline dash so would like one that still displays info there and iPhone compatibility is a must

I have a erisin one its pretty good but if I was you get a pioneer one or the rns510

I would really like to go oem and get a vw unit.
But the coding and changing of a can bus module is a bitt too much for me.
I found one last night that claim to be as good as original and works with display etc.
I'll post up a link when I'm home

the erisin one is cheaper and does the same and you can haggle the price with em heres a link

this is the person i brought my erising es968v from which is discontinued now they do the es898 model
it takes around 2 weeks to come so you have to be patient
they have a fairly good customer service thou there english is very bad
i brought mine over a year ago and nothing has failed yet  :wink:

If it uses IGo then it'll have full postcode search.
I have it on my Zenec and has worked great, made my TomTom redundant.

i wouldn't... i can't comment on the specifics of this particular unit, but someone over on Audi-Sport bought a crappy chinese RNS-E copy which was not only less pleasant than rampant syphillis, he had to cut it out because the key lock remover thingies jammed

satnav is great on mine and is igo8 so has the postcode search function

Im pretty much the same as baz when it comes to the can bus issue, i `ve been looking on ebay and erisintech are selling the ES968V`s again but look like they`ve changed design slightly -

this is the updated version to mine couldnt say if its better apart from the bigger screen and better display
setup is plug and play really easy i put the gps  and the tv antenna in the glove box

the freeview will only work when stationary btw, but there are ways around that
everything is straight forward


you will need the canbus kit for it i dont have one hence the light stays on not that it matters to me only ever had a flat battery once

other things you will need is the twin fakra antenna so you get radio reception cost about a tenner off ebay

remember you can haggle on the price with them :happy2:

Ok cheers, will see what they could do deal wise!..i`m tempted though but still not decided just looking at some aftermarket ones at the moment.

Good luck mate there's so many to choose from
If u want to stay oem get the rns510
Aftermarket choose from either alpine pioneer or kenwood there the best but are expensive  :happy2:
