Okay I traipsed around a few dealers with her. We didn't get to test drive the Seat Ibiza but she has decided the Leon is too big. She wasn't taken by the 1.4 Corsa. She quite likes the Clio 1.2 eco which is turbocharged. She is off test driving a Pug 207. Both are 09/59 plates and priced at £6k bang on the nose. The clio I think has done more mileage (40k) whereas the pug has done only 18k.

Any thoughts on these two cars?

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Hi Stealth,

In Italy my niece has a Fiat 500 twin air.

It is amazing!!!

69000 miles to the gallon and goes like stink for such a little engine!

Plus it's über cool and very very nice to drive.

...I don't know how much they are though  :ashamed:

Another fiat 500 vote here. Cheap as chips to run. 35 quid gets u a full tank and the bloody thing does over 40mpg even with my GF's crappy driving of changing gear way too early and labouring the engine lol.

She's not a fan of the 500.

i dont blame her, neither am I  :signLOL:

Ibiza is a good shout, but dealer network is sh*t come warranty issues. But then again as shes a young bird they will probably jump through hoops for her

Is that just Seat? Or the entire VAG range?

just seat, they are notorious. Cant see there being any major issues on a run of the mill ranges though
