New (a few weeks now) but never said hello.
« on: January 14, 2012, 12:09:34 am »
Hi guys and girls, Yes i have been on this forum a few weeks now, but never said hello to everyone. S hello to all   I sold my mk4 gti and picked up a nice mk5 GTI. Think i got a good deal tbh, the garage didnt know much about the extras that were fitted, except sunroof and 18" alloys and leather seats. Its a 05 plate 67k, 5dr. The garage said it had not been serviced since 2010 and cam belt not been changed. The sevice book was complete up till 2010. I had a good look round her, had a drive and decided for the price it would be ok. When i got her home in the glovebox was a pack up containing all the reciepts from all the work carried out. I had the orginal purchase reciept, which had the extras listed

sunroof, met paint, 18" monza, Leather Anthacite, front centre armrest, xenon headlights, Lux pack 2, Sensors, Winter Pack.

Also had reciepts for a service in nov 2011 and cambelt/waterpump change :)

The first owner paid over £23k for the car!!!!

Over all im very happy with the car, considering i only paid £7200. Will post pics tomorrow after i have cleaned it :)

Finally got a few hours and decided to clean the car.

Jobs left to do.

1, Fix the little patch of cracked paint i have on N/S RQ panel
2, Change the tatty used window buttons for new ones on front and rear doors.
3, Wheel refurb.
4, Remove Kenwood DVX stero and sat nav and fit RCD510, not intrested in sat nav version as i have a satnav, also i only have the rear windscreen aerial, not sure if i wanna drill through roof to fit dab aerial.

Cheers guys
