is the valvetronic in this offer?

I dont think the Powervalve is included in the offer as I think i costs £140 more than the group buy TBE.

Not sure why the group buy offer has not been "Authorised"  :surprised:, do people on here need "Authorisation" to buy a product and spend their own money?  forum  :ashamed:

The RRP on the system that is to be offered is £1100 so the discount on RRP is 22.5%.

The Group buys need to be authorised before they can start and Steve has said this is not a group buy they want to do so that's fair enough. There are still many good group buys available for members so 1 or 2 not going through shouldn't cause too much hassle.

Thankfully there are many other GTI areas that can be utilised for these and as I said before, it is setup on the golfgtiforum (Mods have authorised this already).

This is a process issue, I probably should have asked before putting the feeler thread up.

Ok i shall explain why it has not been authorised.  :happy2:

No companies are allowed to advertise on this site or promote there business. Members "enthusiasts" who own one can, and do naturally promote there small businesses and this is fine we hope they do well. See detailing section for examples.
We dont allow companies to advertise because this keeps the integrity of the forum intact, and keeps it a nice place to hang around.  :pomppomp:
Nige BCS constantly kept breaking this arrangement even though we let lots of his stuff go he kept thinking the rules didn't apply to him.
Since he finally accepted his last warning we have had a constant barrage of threads and posts about his exhausts ( strangely enough  :rolleye: )
So what he now does is offer people a bit more of his products for threads promoting it.  :fighting:

This in our opinion takes the piss again and goes against what the forum is about.

So in answer to your question " why cant we have a group buy " the answer is Miles because of members like you ramming the promotion of his products down everyones throats, when you havn't even got it on your car yet.   :stupid:

he is just a quick selection from the last 20 days on the forum all from you even though you have not fitted it yet.  :booty:

I've already got mine  :P

For those who havent though this is a great bit of kit!

I am booked in for Sat 5th for my TBE Valvetronic/powervalve BCS exhaust, cant wait!!!!!  :pomppomp:

That's my new system right there BCS Powervalve with 80mm tips rolled in, roll on the 5th May for fitting  :happy2:

That's my new system right there BCS Powervalve with 80mm tips rolled in, roll on the 5th May for fitting  :happy2:

The car is booked in to BCS in 2 weeks time to have a full Turbo Back Exhaust system fitted using their latest "Powervalve" system (It has a Valve in the system that closes at low revs giving good low down torque and keeps it nice and quiet, then when you floor it the valve opens and bypasses making it sound a bit more sporty), went for this system for best of both worlds quiet cruising and sporty when having fun!, having been in the demo car I was suprised how quiet it was when cruising and no drone (which was a factor in my decision).

Whichever exhaust you decide to go for, be it Milltek, BCS, Blueflame etc, I would advise you to go for a 200 cell sports cat as there is lot less likelihood of your CEL coming on, whether your car is remapped or not. I opted for a 200 cell cat on my Blueflame 3" TBE after being advised by my tuner and even before my remap there were never any lights on the dash. A good quality 200 cel cat is more likely to pass an MOT without issue, too.  :happy2: xx

I opted for the 200 cell CAT for my BCS TBE Powervalve exhaust (being built for me now  :happy2:) and can handle upto 380bhp, the 100 cell CAT can handle upto 500bhp if you plan on some massive turbo upgrade later on, but as I was only planning on ever going stage 2 I went 200 cell.

BCS and Milltek are your best options for exhausts and the BCS are usually around £200 cheaper to boot.

Looks good, now I know what the tips will look like on mine , I booked in yesterday for BCS TBE Powervalve system  :happy2:

Nicely put Nige  :happy2:, having heard the "Powervalve" system myself 4 weeks ago and yesterday booked in for fitting of the Powervalve TBE system (Its nice and quiet off boost and "Sporty" when flooring it which is exactly what I wanted!) now I have to bear the next 3 weeks until I can get "Up North" to have mine fitted .

I think its a great Idea to compare the systems on their individual merits, costs and performance gains from the various players below (Forgive me if i missed anyone)

BCS
Milltek
Apr Rsc
Blueflame
Scorpion
Jetex

Well today I spoke to Dave at BCS and booked my ED30 in for its Valvetech TBE system, earliest opportunity I had to get up north was 5th may so im booked for that day!, can't wait, just got to get the Intake system fitted (Volant from USA) afterwards and then its off to jabba, Shark or R-tech for stage 2 map (Not made up my mind which yet!)  :happy2:

Thats a question for BCS i think, plus aint Milltek's "Lifetime" Guarantee only for the period you own the car? (for me that would be 4-5 years) or do they still warranty it 3 owners and 10 years down the line?

For performance and quiet I would consider either Milltek or BCS (Millteks are inherantly quiet and BCS do 3 versions depends on how quiet you want it  :happy2:)

Agreed 100% dont mix n match, buy either APR RSC, Milltek or BCS (priced in descending order :happy2:)

Well i really don't want it loud, thats why i was opting for the resonated approach. Are you suggesting even with a resonated system a cheaper exhaust will be really loud?

From looking at the details of the kits i presume the differences lie solely in the back box then? As there really isn't much to the rest of the system (when going for turbo back)

Maybe buy a milltek back box and have the rest of the kit made by longlife?!

Im not against any of these brands, or even paying the money, if its worth it. I just wanted to see why people were so happy to part with £££ for their milltek system. As well as get a better idea about the whole exhaust thing, as you may have guessed, this is all pretty new to me.

Joe

BCS systems are not loud, I HATE chavvy loud boy racer exhausts, to me the BCS system was nice n quiet pootling around and then sporty when giving it some (although I can only comment on the BCS "Valvetech" exhaust as thats the only one I have heard), similar money to Milltek but pictures on the forums show you how good a quality it is and facetube if you

Or go BCS and get a better system or blueflame for less money and you dont pay £200 for the priveledge of a Milltek badge then   :happy2:

Sorry Robin could not resist  :signLOL:

P.S. im a mainstream hater

I was lucky enough to go meet Dave and Nige when I was last up north and went in the GTI with the valvetech fittted, was very very impressed by it and both Dave and Nige's experience and attention to detail, made my mind up in about 5 minutes!.
Nice and quiet when pootling around (which I do a lot of) and sporty when booting it (but not chavvy or loud!)

Dave @ BCS?   Ref my rear valance?

Dave is Nige's business partner at BCS, im pretty sure Blueflame wont know anything about BCS  :signLOL:

Was this a forum member trying to arrange the group buy or was it a BCS employee trying to do it? (I dont know the member well so cant comment

Thats fair enough  :happy2:

Nige BCS constantly kept breaking this arrangement even though we let lots of his stuff go he kept thinking the rules didn't apply to him.

I was not aware of that, sorry to hear it

Since he finally accepted his last warning we have had a constant barrage of threads and posts about his exhausts ( strangely enough  :rolleye: )
So what he now does is offer people a bit more of his products for threads promoting it.  :fighting:

I can 100% say that Nige has not offered me ANYTHING for mentioning his exhausts  :surprised:, why should he?  .  I mention them as I personally believe its a good product/option having seen it and heard it first hand, I also "Personally" felt like a valued customer being talked through the various options rather than feeling like just a profit margin (Another story  ), if it were not a good system I would buy/recommend a Milltek like every other sheep!, or maybe even an RSC

This in our opinion takes the piss again and goes against what the forum is about.

Anyone on this forum can see its a massive Revo and Milltek fanbase (which is great if thats what you like) and there are MANY more posts about Milltek than BCS I believe?  :scared:, how many people ask about exhausts and its Milltek replies and how many say BCS?

So in answer to your question " why cant we have a group buy " the answer is Miles because of members like you ramming the promotion of his products down everyones throats, when you havn't even got it on your car yet.   :stupid:

It's Myles btw  :happy2:, I am not ramming anything down anyone's throats  :happy2:, merely saying what I am doing based on a rounded decision after considering cost/quality/service and what I perceive to be a good competitor for the Milltek system which seems prevalent on here  :surprised:, I thought forums were about discussing options and saying who has what, who likes what, what would you recommend etc etc, thats all it is I feel, there is no malice nor paid (or otherwise) advertising for anyones products in particular  , yes I do admit I have a strong dislike of the mainstream brands (Revo/APR/Forge/VWR/Milltek etc) but thats how I feel, its because they have strong advertising (Aggressive marketing better explains it i feel) and are promoted on every forum you visit or other companies products re-branded and price hiked  :stupid:, it does not mean they are the best out there, I like to support smaller tuning companies as I believe it breeds competition for the likes of APR and Revo, I am going Jabbasport for stage 2 (not they are not paying me or giving me discounts for mentioning them either!) its just I personally like what they did with my last car (as do thousands of others I'm sure) and are well respected in my area so why not use them again?

he is just a quick selection from the last 20 days on the forum all from you even though you have not fitted it yet.  :booty:

I have still heard and seen the exact same system mine will be so feel I am more qualified to comment/reply about it than those who perhaps have not seen/heard it  , out of the duplicates I noticed that some of my replies were recommending the Milltek too and another one mentioning APR RSC and another saying consider all your options, that seems like well rounded comments to me  :happy2:

I've already got mine  :P

:signLOL: this must mean i am on the BCS payroll surely?, or is is that I believe it to be a good product and am very excited and looking forward to my new system after waiting the best part of 6 months before modding my car?, that last quote was someone asking about his rear valance, I merely pointed out that BCS was not blueflame, hardly ramming anything down anyone's throats there  :drinking:, most of those posts come from people asking about exhausts, replied this is what I am doing, nothing more sinister than that.

Apologies if my posts and other peoples posts about BCS, Jabba, Volant or Toyo (think that covers everything I may have/will fot to my car) have led you to believe that I/others are in some way connected to these companies, but I am not and I suspect others are not either, I suspect more its to do with personal opinions, if its fitted to your car in your mind it's the best there is and you want other people to know about, thats all it is TC.

Hope this clears things up  :happy2:

As for my original question, now I understand (I think).  :innocent:
