BCS Group Buy Feeler
« on: April 29, 2012, 04:58:38 pm »
Is there any interest in a group buy of the BCS sports exhaust systems?

Need to see how many would be before we can get a price so just put your name doown if you would be interested.

This isn't an official group buy yet - just a feeler after talking with Nigel. (Group buy not going ahead due to forum rules - now setup on golfgtiforum.

10 Needed.

Basically we would be looking at the sports system (Full TBE (downpipe and cat)) Rough price looks about £850

£50 fitting
£20 Delivery

Hi Rich
Am not allowed to promote the new 'Powervalve' system on the forum as it contravenes the regs  :sad1: - it has to be done by users only bud.
Myles (Tamiyoman) is having his installed next week.
I'll pm you the details.
Cheers
Nige

TBE sounds good to me.  :happy2:

How many do we need to get on the GB to go ahead on this?

Whats all this power valve/valvetronic business?

Hey Rich, My (Very) basic understanding of the Powervalve system (which I decided on buying having heard it first person), is that at lower revs the valve is closed and helps keep low down torque, it also helps keep it very quiet for pootling around town, but when you hit boost the valve opens up and bypasses thus making it more free flowing and more sporty sounding (louder, but not excessively so!), its exactly what I wanted after a test drive in the demo car, quiet for pootling round town so as not to upset the local bed wetters (Old people) and when I am on open road nice and sporty sounding.

I am sure Nige can give you full details if you PM or call him, alternatively if your anywhere remotely near Norfolk you can have a listen yourself once its fitted  :happy2:

I'm very interested in this (Rocco R), however, Nige are you able to confirm what you difference is between the powervalve system and the OE vacum system already fitted to the R? Also, where does the pressure line tee off in the engine? If you don't want to discuss details in the public domain then you're more than welcome to answer them via PM.

Couldnt recommend the boys at BCS enough, if your after an exhaust then heres your chance to get a proper peice of kit for cheaper monies.

The service is proper good too, i needed mine adjusting slightly and they went out of their ay to sort me out and wasnt happy until it was perfect.  :notworthy:

Minimum 10 people needed for full TBE to at this price.

This is only for Full TBE.
