Clutch and flywheel quote
« on: May 04, 2012, 12:06:31 pm »
I have been quoted £910 inc vat for a sachs replacement or £1430 for a sach performance replacement.  They have also recommended having a wheel alignment done afterwards for £160.

Do these sound like the right kind of prices for a tdi?

Not sure about the clutch price, but £160 seems very high for wheel alignment  :surprised:

If its stealers price then sounds about right. I got my sachs uprated for £510 then fitting at £220, so work it out yourself

Right, I know there are two types that are used as standard - Luk and Sachs.

I had mine fitted by the legend'ary  "Midlands VW" - they are a VW specialist and there work/service is fantasic! Always used them and always will.

Think mine was the Sachs, Clutch and dual mass fly wheel fitted + a scan for £700. Car went in at 9:00 was out by 13:00
