I have the same wheels as Mike and the brake clearance (width ways) is insane on the Turinis due to the design and lower offset.

Is Mike's car still at Alex's unit? If so, I'd suggest asking him for cheeky trial of one of your wheels on his car to check for clearance.

Those brakes really are the business and will look fantastic on your Leon. Any ideas on the cost of replacement discs & pads on these?

Alex was saying he had Lambo calipers on the shelf in his garage.  They can be used on 345mm discs

Got a free 20 min track taster to use this year at Rockingham so will use this and then no doubt i will be hooked and my car will end up like mikes

So today was the day to get rid of them pesky 345mm brakes.. the OEM brakes as standard are very good but mine where knackered due to the amount of stick this car has had as a Press Car including going round Rockingham a few times.

OEM setup

Discs

Complete

Random shots (excuse the dirty wheels)

So what can i say... not really "tested" them yet have a few quick checks and they feel amazing and look totally amazing

So i took the Leon to Rockingham today, My car being one of the Ex-SEAT UK press cars its no stranger to Rockingham.. it was my first time on a real track day, ive been to lots of "drive around" the track sessions but never a full on track day. I paid the extra for a tutor to come out with me and i can well recommend it to any other new people. The tutor was really good he kept egging me on to go faster and faster through corners and by the end of the session i was going alot faster than my first lap.

Few pics and Video's taken by the GF from the pits.

And the posing photo :cartman:

So how was the car?

Well all as i can say is it surprised me, it handled so well out there i really wasn't expecting to be as good as it was. The LSD was working well and the brake upgrade was superb, When you come out of the last corner your foot is then planted and you arrive at the first corner which is also very banked because its part of the racing oval I was arriving at that corner doing around 125mph (clock speed not GPS) quick dab of the brakes and then turn into the corner and keep the foot semi planted, The second corner which is a hair-pin style corner you arrive at it doing approx 100mph and you need to brake very hardly to enter it. Now if i still had my 345mm single pot setup i wouldn't of managed to brake how i needed to for this corner, The 370mm 4 pots on the other hand stopped me exactly how i needed them to :)

I have well and truly got the track bug now, i was tempted to stay for the afternoon session but the GF and mate wanted to go for food.
