Ebay is the best place, some are high and some low, I so luckily grabbed a brand new from a 2011 plated car with only 9k miles for £350 which is a bargain and the only reason I actually went for k04!

beware of not working K04 and injectors when buying without testing! Sometimes better to pay more from reliable source then go for a bargain and buy again! We all heard stories here
Red 2008 GTI, H&R ARB, b12 suspension, walk, milltek non-res full exhaust, forge IC, tarox 10 pot big brake kit, RS4 valve, Forge SSK, Autotech HPFP, Xenons, K04 Turbo, Quaife LSD, South Bend stage 3 Daily with SMF clutch, XB and UB Unibraces

Thanks for the reply,How much do you think im looking at roughly for a good price ko4 turbo s3intercooler and injectors? I dont want to be overpaying!

K04 and injectors you're looking at 1000 ish and IC could be got for 250ish I would say. There is one on sale in sales section at the moment

Paul

1000 ish no way! In that case u are getting bumped! You can pick up good k04's for around £350-£450 and injectors from £100-£200, you will also need the parts needed to fit it such as diverter relocation etc
Bloody hell that sounds cheap compared to what i was quoted. I called up statller and they said for a vw ko4 1400 injectors 170 and intercooler 400 and fitting 800! :0 where would be a good place to pick up a ko4?!
Those prices look like brand new prices. Complete setup can be got for about £700-£800

Pah! your getting boring, now your a Dad.  :indifferent:

Ha ha! You're probably right, but it's a rule I stuck to with my MKV and it served me very well.

Never do anything you can't reverse and never push the engine past what's sensible for the chassis.
Sideways yo!

Just don't buy one of the new ebay ones around the £2-300 mark as you can guarentee they will be Chinese copies and a little timebomb in your engine bay waiting to wreck your engine.

Well I went back to stage 1 as I always seemed to have loads of problem.
Its a much better map and made me realise just how good the car is nearly standard too.
I think somebody else said buy another car.
Seriously maybe you should consider it.
I love mine now its great and I wont be going back.

Hi guys my mk5 golf gti is currently stage2+ and i wanted some advice on where to go next. Currently putting out 280-290bhp and i want more power! What is the next step as i am new to all this tuning stuff. I bought the car lile this! Would it be an uprated turbo ko4 with s3 intercooler and injectors? Hoe much does it all cost i have no idea.

This is currently what i have on the car;

GTI 05 plate
55,000 miles

It was tuned by Statller
Evoms Intake
Turbo boost 3inch exhaust
Autotech Fuel Pump
GIAC extreme software (Ko3)+stage 3 gearbox software

Tarox Brake Discs and pads
19 inch matte black pro race rims
Michellin pilot sport tyres

Ok so im KO4 for starters but spark plugs, coil packs, lambda sensors.

Problems with the map where they hadnt put decat defeat on.

Rich at idle then lean at idle.

1st gear almost unuseable.

Sometimes the car was mental quick other times, minutes later, it was no quicker than standard.

Stage 1 you know what your getting everytime you get in the car.

The only other way is mild 2+ settings but whats the point of that.

I have been running stage 2+ for over a year now also tuned by statller and had no issues what so ever.
