Please Help. Battery Drain Issue. RCD 510

Hi there ppl im having a real bad sunday here. My battrey is staright flat and now called the aa to cum n fresh it up. This has happened since i bough the rcd. 510 and installed it is this a common problem what do i have to do to not get a batttery drain again i had my car in the bodyshop for 3 days the guys said hey had to rechRge the battery 3 times . And this is the foutth what is the best option does anyone have any idea please. And plus if i stick ma old rcd300 radio in would it be ok intill i fix the problem for the rcd 510

My car is a 55plate vw golf mk5 1.9tdi wid. A BKC engine code
Fitted a RCD 510 which caused battery drain
How to identify which canbus gateway module is the right in for me is the one below the rught one

Version 'K' would work but depends on the software version of the canbus. I would go for a
Higher version than a K to guarantee it would work.

Coding it is easy but fitting is quite fiddly.

Personally I would get a new one off of Eddie-NL in the for sale forum. For a little extra he will code it before shipping it.
