Santapod visit
« on: May 07, 2012, 02:24:13 pm »
So yesterday we decided to take a trip upnto santapod raceway.

Was a good day but had a few mishaps in the form of my mate blowing his turbo in a corsa and the other guy who came along blowing the box on his focus st.

So we arrived at 10am to be met by about 100 bikes all ready to run aswell as it being x-fest and there being thousands of idiots on bmxs and micro scooters, tbh I'm surprised nobody got run over and they were all just the place not even looking were the were riding.

Any ways on to the raceing, the car was strong, the track was good and the wind was with us. Had 7 runs ranging from 13.9-13.5. Tbh was happy with that.

Final run of the day we let the tyres down a bit, went hard on the burn out, got the LC set and managed to crack out a 13.3@112mph

All in all a good day and very happy with the car considering we decided to go last min, no prep was done and my tyres were shot.

Will be getting car ready For the next trip so I can push it all the way

Current spec of car
Ed30 DSG
Apr HPFP
Milltek TBE
Forge dv
Shot toyo T1R
Full interior Inc spare

Next time I'm planing on over and above is spec

Vwr intake
50/50 water meth
Light weight pro race 1.2 with r888 on front
Gti space savers on rear
Lower car 50mm
Upgraded mounts throughout
Apr stage 2+ 104ron map
Rear seats out
Passenger front seat out
Spare wheel kit out

I know it's hard to put a number on it but what would guys think the car would be able to run. He long and short of it is 50-70bhp more, less weight. More grip

Will get some pics up soon

With a 112mph terminal speed the answer to that would most definitely be YES..  :signLOL:

Nice result that mate.. What software are you currently running? I would think with WMI and all the other bits a mid 12 could be possible (although nobody has yet done it).
My Stage 2+ Eddie ran a 12.7 @ 114mph PB, but that was with the minimal S2+ mods (intake, HPFP, TBE), Michelin PS2's and OEM cooler. So will be very interesting to see how you get on with your other bits..
I'll be off to Pod again soon, so let us know when you are going..  :happy2:

Reaction time was 0.0534 but 60ft was shocking 2.9 I think
