I think the suit the style of his car, he is after a light race theme for chucking round a track or up the strip, i am guessing thats why he got 18in's and that's why his coilies are set a bit high.
Isn't he planning a trip round the ring next year, they are good wheels for that type of abuse, Neil M has damaged his wheels on the curbs track side.
Also not every car needs to be clad in BBS and slammed to look good. IMHO.  :rolleye:

Cheers TC,

Exactly what i'm doing. I'll hopefully see low 13's up the strip next year and some lovely track days and the 'ring. 8)

These alloys are what I call "fit for purpose" rather than the bling effect :happy2:

Anyway TC said he'd ban me if I bought the Works 3 piece multispokes  :signLOL:

might look better in 19 s with less off set or wheel spacers !

Agreed - they're too small. Look more like 16"/17" alloys than 18".

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

I like those hurdy. I just feel they need some spacers and a slight drop. They look a bit lost in the arches. . . I sound very negative but i think they are too rounded. You needed sharp lines. Like o.z rims. . .  But nontheless. They do serve a purpose. Which is good. But yup. Slight drop and spacers and i will smile all over. Lol.
No PAS. No ESP. No DSC. No TCS. No ABS. Just my right foot between me and oblivion. Oh - And a seatbelt.

I don't think they suit the car either, sorry!
They look like wheels you see going cheap in Halfords and Motor world etc.. (IMO of course!)

But its very very easy to change a setup with coilovers, for example if i were doing a few track days in the summer (inc nurburgring) id raise it a lil,

Hurdy id drop a few mil just for the winterdays and then change again when track events are coming up.  :happy2:

also do you not think theres a lil too much silver?? its like you wouldnt put white wheels on a white car (except oettinger) just my opinion

Dropped 8).........then raised :ashamed:

Took it out on another drive after removing the screws and dropping her a little and it was much better, but still scraped once when I was going for it!  :driver:

Lifted it back up and now my fingers are covered in scratches and hurt like FCUK!

I still want to drop it a little more and was thinking about tinkering with the camber/caster of the suspension to get the wheels to "lean" in a little, but as I've not done this before I thought I'd see how JBS could do it for me and then take it from there myself.

Any views on altering the wheel stance?

Yes you will be going through tyres even faster than you are now.  :scared:
unless you track the car all the time then i think it is over egging the puddin, read up on the anti-lift kit by mr danza that also tells you about toe and camber, castor and all that bumph also i looked at you tube there is a couple of good explainations on there, if you are into all that. as usual i just glazed over and started day dreaming about cars tits and nipples.  :indifferent:  :chicken:

They don't do 19's in pro race - it jumps to 9.5" x 20".........and no I wouldn't even think of going there :signLOL:

I've been out for another drive today after lifting the car back up and it doesn't scrape at all now :happy2:
Even the one deeper undulation taken at full chat doesn't bottom it out, so it's all good and I think that is how my car will stay
