Thanks for all the info guys.

The general consensus is that if i want to be a VW fanboi, then buy the VWR item, but if i want to be sensible and buy the same exhaust for cheaper, then buy the Milltek and most like a non-res?

yep defo non-res. you will be well pleased with it.

cheapest i could find by a long way were awesome-gti.co.uk

i may get a down pipe in the future but the warranty would be buggered then pretty much.

Thanks again lads.  I'll definitely look into a Milltek soon.

I'll put up pictures of the DC2 in members rides bit, if non VW are allowed....?

I've driven mkvikens car and was VERY suprised how quiet his non res system was. Intact with the itg intake on and his exhaust it was actually quieter than my standard mk6!  Was very very suprised but maybe that's because my car has 4 times the miles on his does I don't know.
Ex mk5 GTI owner, moved to a mk6 in 2010.
