« on: May 08, 2012, 04:06:32 pm »
I am just about to do the k03s to k04 conversion, So far i have managed to get the parts for it through VRS Alex, Below are pics of what i have but i just want to be certain this is it all because the last thing i want is my car stripped down and then the need for more parts!
Alex has said this is all il need to do the conversion including the S3 injector upgrade and diverter relocation, Anyone who knows about this stuff help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks  :happy2:

Forgot to add i also have the discharge pipe, The parts i have doubts on are the k03s and k04 oil lines can they be re used from my k03s?

For the diverter custom wiring i am told that it can be extended and brought up to the front instead of making a custom wiring for it is this do able also?

Does your present intake have a port to connect the relocated DV?
I believe most folk use an extended wireing harness so that there is slack in the wireing.
Without traction power is nothing!

Yes it does so that i dont have to worry about mate, I just want to know if the original DV wire can be used with it

From what I gathered, you have to remove the plug off the end strip apart the harness then pull it back sounds like a lot of hard work to me, I plan to just a dv vacuum dv like the forge fed off the end of the intake plenum.

Can be done yes.

I know what's needed as I fitted mine myself.
You need water and oil line crush washers also the clips for the dv relocation flange (unless you use jubilee clips)
2x m6 nuts to hold the dv bracket to the intake manifold. I presume you've got the fitting kit to go with the injectors? A dv harness is required, as I've said before there is no way the original wire will reach DV, it's about 1.5ft short.
I can't think of anything else at the minute.

I would get a new inlet manifold seal as you don't want to be taking that off again if it's leaking.

Dv wire fits no problem.  I pull the wires back to the end of the coil pack harness which is the perfect length to reach the dv round the front.

Some of the early cars have bolts rather than threaded studs for the dv bracket.

^^ That's the way my mechanic is doing it.

Says it's much neater.

I think the injectors Alex sells come with the fitting kit too.

Much neater.  None of this cable tied wires running all over the place.

Sammy had some very low mileage used ones I had.  Fittings were good on them still.  Sold them then had to buy a new one for my car!  :fighting:

Is it as easy to put back to standard afterwards? Wonder why APR supply the wiring harness.
I presume you wrap the bare wires in some kind of shrouding/heat shrink?

The wiring will just go back to where it was before.  It's easier for the end user to use a harness, but its an extra cost that isn't needed.  The wiring is just pushed into the convoluted tubing that runs round the side of the head so no need to wrap until near the dv where its exposed.
