LED numberplate lamps - fuses?
« on: May 09, 2012, 07:01:02 pm »
I successfully fitted an after-market set of integrated LED number plate lamps but realised they were too bright. I tried fitting a regular LED bulb and now neither unit is working.
Anyone know if there's a dedicated fuse for the numberplate lamps? I've tried turning the bulb around 180 degrees, it worked for a moment but now 'nothing'!
Weird. Was all working fine (but too bright) until I decided to monkey with it!
 57 plate Edition 30 BTW.
Thanks.

Doh!
I hadn't checked the dash warning system - the number plate lights are too low voltage so up popped warning!

Has anyone tried these yet:

The Chinese units I first tried are far too bright. I assume the OEM units are good.

Gents?

I have had the odd dash light warning, have the cold diagnosis turned off and all ok
