My missus' Polo 1.0L used to average 1000-1400 miles a year between MOTs. I got her an Edition30 and this has done 4500 miles in its first year, I have been 'borrowing' it a little at the weekends though. Funny as I never used to 'borrow' the Polo at all...

I really dont understand why people buy a car, goto the expense of tax and insurance for only 2k or so per year. It would be cheaper to just get a taxi. A car is for driving not for looking at,  :stupid:

Perhaps some people enjoy it for what it is, rather then driving it everywhere? Not everyone is the same.

I would rather wave at the Taxi man and hand him a tenner as he passes rather than sit on his puke stained seats  , it's one of the many reasons some people have a car so they dont have to endure rely on public transport  :happy2:

Last time I took a bus it was for a 2.5 mile journey to go pick up my car from the night before, the bus driver took me for nearly £3!!!, petrol is expensive these days but jesus h christ, paying £3 for a bus lurching from one stop to the next to get you to your destination approx area (well a bus stop some half a mile from where you left your car anyway!), no thanks!  :happy2:
