Manos Candy White GTI
« on: May 10, 2012, 11:25:52 pm »
Candy white GTi is my 2nd GTi
Had my first at 18 now being 19 getting a bit of a break by the insurance company and they let me mod the car
so never been into progress threads before so here goes from september till now

Start with the old gti nothing special

kinda look like an idiot uploading this picture but here goes. got bored of the red gti, never liked red cars, buying the red one was spur of the moment. so time to change

only picture i have of the car standerd

 was dead good having two gtis for a month or so untill i sold the red one, funny going out in one and going home and changing, friends was like wtf

gave 11300 for it, 36k on the clock off some family that was mega mega loaded. there lad got the rear bumper fully painted edition 30 style and the hubs red also

that got changed within 2 hours of being home.. painted bottom half black and the hubs black again.

coilovers onnnnn same day

subframe kept coming loose so did the bolt and spacer job . Straight from TPS

BUMPERR ON AT LAST .

was waiting a few weeks for Nige to hook me up ;)

so was waiting for my TBE with 200 cel cat to be ready before slatting the bumper on.

20 minutes up the motorway to pick the babey up :D

dead impressed with BCS's work and nige and co.

off to a mates garage to fit the exhaust, couldnt wait to fit it that i went very fast back down the m6  :innocent: and couldnt wait for it to cool down, went straight on the ramp red hot.

its really not a good idea to be undoign the downpipe when its pritty much glowing hot BUT . go hard or go home

the car at its watering hole and a mate posing ...  :stupid:

treated myself to a VCDS Hex Can

so decided to buy the

* MDI Kit
* Cruise controll
* RCD 510

also did all the other VCDS stuff like the beep, no seat belt beep, doors locking ect

incase you havnt realised the rotiforms came off the car, got fed up with the scrubbing and spent the money on a holiday with the gf.

they was et35 and just couldnt give fast so got bored.

some pictures in the snow one afternoon

for a new set of wheels i decided on the BBS pascaras, got a set off a lad on here, sound guy got them for a good price  :P
need a refurb where they had been curbed

was a easy fix jsut got out the TIG welder welded them up took about 30 mins and job was a good'un

then had to go for the white and black look so gave them a paint

half way threw painting after flatting them off between coats. so no shine , didnt get a picture of them finished.

Lovely looking candy white  :drool: Looks alot better on the black pescara's than the BLQ's

IMO Red and White cars always look great with dark wheels

Looking forward to seeing what you do to the interior and all those carbon bits  :happy2:

Look OK, but would be far nicer as a 5 door.

I often wake up in the morning regeting not buying a 5 door. Then I could have gone to shops and took people to school and looked like a real teenage dad.
