I have used this product.
But would i recommend it? Its difficult to comment as eveyone has different expectation levels
I think if your looking to fill in one big stone chip then you will always see it as your searching for it. However if your car has tiny little chips all over the car then this product is good at masking them, from 2 metres away my car looks great. Of course if you put your face right up to the bumper you will still see tiny imperfections, though they will be the colour of the car instead of primer
Of course chipex do recommend building up the paint in stages and then you can improve the imperfections further.
Its the same as using a touch up stick, with the right patience and practice of the technique you can get good results.
I did find that when you put the paint onto the chips, if you rub too hard with the remover fluid you can easily remove the excess, then all the paint that you have filled into the chip. You have to use the correct pressure, or it can be a case of letting the paint dry for longer. But with letting it dry for longer its still really easy to end up removing too much of the paint and your back to having a chip with no paint in it. I know it sounds obvious not to rub too hard, but the difference between getting a good result or being back to square one isnt alot of pressure difference.
By the time i got good at it i ended up running out of the remover fluid
Chipex give you loads of paint but not quite enough remover fluid for the job in my opinion, however more can be orderd separately.
Of course this review is my opinion of the product. Someone else may use it and have perfect results instantly. I just found it took a bit of practice
